CrowdProtect is a mobile emergency system that

1.) allows you to instantly alert a) your trusted friends, b) helpers nearby and c) the police.

2.) allows you to share your location for a limited time via web-browser.

3.) enables you to help friends and fellow citizen in emergencies.

When do I use this App?

1.) Someone is following you or you feel very unsafe (press help)

2.) Someone else needs help and you want to call for more helpers and police (help + call police)

3.) You are walking home and want your friends/family to see that you are fine (e.g. share for 30min)

How do I use this App?

How do I define who will be notified when pressing the Help-Button?

The standard settings are that the 10 closest people will be notified. However, you can connect this app with facebook and select friends who also use this app as emergency contacts.

How do I test the alarm safely?

Connect to Facebook, select at least one friend to test it with and deactivate the "Crowd-Alarm". Now you will only alert your trusted friends.

How do I call for help?

Simply press the Help button.

What will happen then?

CrowdProtect automatically notifies up to 10 other users around you (if crowd-alarm is activated) as well as your selected trusted contacts. In addition you have a quick dial button to call the local police (you can select the correct number upfront).

How do I cancel the alarm?

By pressing the Cancel Button.

How do I help others?

You will receive a notification whenever someone nearby or a friend needs your help. You will see the location of the person in need and all other helpers.

Battery consumption

CrowdProtect is designed to consume as little battery as possible! Of course we have to ask for your location occasionally, so that you can also help strangers in emergency situations. However, the energy consumption for this is very low. If you are in danger, we will transfer your location in real-time, resulting in higher energy consumption.
